JAMB Registration In Three Steps

Good day Champions. It’s Mr Gurus Writting

we talked about How to Score 300+ in JAMB, we will revisit this later.

For now, let’s actually talk about registering for JAMB.

Every year millions of candidates register for JAMB Exam, while low score is the highest reason students are denied admission, the next on the list is CANDIDATE’S MISTAKE.

Today, I will ensure you don’t make those mistakes.

Let’s get on with it!

Before Registration Day – Get These Ready:

  • Valid email address (create new if needed)
Working phone number (mustn’t be used for another JAMB registration)
O’Level result (WAEC/NECO, Awaiting Result is acceptable)
    NIN (National Identification Number)
Profile Code (see how to get it below)

HOW TO REGISTER FOR JAMB IN JUST THREE STEPS

Step 1: Profile Code Creation

[] Generate new profile code (if it is the first time. Old profile code can be reused)
[] To get profile code, your must send your NIN to 55019 or 66019. This should cost ₦50 airtime.
[] Message format: NIN [space] 11-digit NIN (e.g., NIN 00123456789)
[] After sending NIN, you will receive a 10-character Profile Code on the same phone number
[] The phone number used to receive profile code will be automatically linked to your name

Important : JAMB does not allow changes to the registered phone number after the profile has been created

Step 2: Obtain JAMB ePIN
[] ePIN can only be bought after you have a profile code
[] You can obtain the JAMB ePIN from any approved sales point (Banks, MMOs, MFBs, Opay/PalmPay, etc)
[] Upon successful payment, the e-PIN will be sent to your registered phone number via SMS

Step 3: Complete Registration at CBT Centre

[] Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT center with your *Profile Code* and *e-PIN*
[] Biometric capture (10 fingerprints + photograph)
[] Select exam subjects
[] Choose up to 3 university/course combinations
[] Submission of O’level Details (Awaiting results are acceptable)
[] Print registration slip immediately

Common Registration Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Wrong subject combinations for chosen course
❌ Spelling errors in name or personal details
❌ Choosing universities without checking their requirements
❌ Not keeping registration number safe

That’s it!

Remember, JAMB Registration is yet to start. It’s expected to start in January. We will inform you here when it starts.
