JAMB CAPS 2026/2027: Check & Confirm Admission Status
The JAMB CAPS for the 2026/2027 admission exercise is now active. Candidates can monitor their admission status on the platform to know when they have been offered admission.
Once a candidate has been offered admission on JAMB CAPS, they are required to either accept or reject the offer.
Schools have already started uploading their admission lists to the JAMB portal. We therefore advise candidates to regularly check their admission status on JAMB CAPS so they can take the necessary action as soon as possible.
Some schools may not publish their admission lists on their official portals or notice boards. For candidates who applied to such institutions, checking their admission status on JAMB CAPS may be the only way to know when they have been offered admission.
How to Check Your Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
- Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal and log in with your registered email address and password.
- Click on âCheck Admission Statusâ.
- Click on âAccess my CAPSâ.
- Select âAdmission Statusâ to check whether you have been offered admission.
If you have been offered admission, your photo will be displayed along with a message congratulating you on your admission offer.
If you have not been offered admission yet, you will see a message stating:
âSorry, No Admission Has Been Given Yet.â
How to Accept or Reject an Admission Offer
If you have been offered admission, you can proceed to accept or reject the offer by sending ACCEPT or REJECT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
According to JAMB, candidates have four weeks to accept their admission offer.
Candidates who no longer have access to the phone number registered with JAMB should visit a JAMB-accredited centre to accept or reject their admission.
Print Your JAMB Admission Letter
Candidates who have been offered admission should print their JAMB Admission Letter after accepting the offer, as it may be required during clearance and registration at the institution.
Checking JAMB CAPS on a Mobile Phone
If you are using a mobile phone, you may not see the Admission Status option on CAPS. Some phone users may only see the welcome message.
To access the complete page, you should enable Desktop Site on your browser.
If you are using Google Chrome:
- Open Chrome and visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Select âDesktop siteâ.
- Refresh the page and log in again.
This should allow you to view the complete CAPS page and check your admission status.
