16-Year-Old SS2 Student Takes 2026 WAEC to Test Her Knowledge, Result Sparks Mixed Reactions Online
A 16-year-old secondary school student from Warri has attracted widespread attention after her 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result surfaced online, showcasing an impressive performance despite the fact that she is still in SS2.
Facebook user Succy Kanabar shared the student’s verified WAEC result on August 6, 2026, explaining that the teenager was not taking the examination as a graduating student. Instead, she chose to sit for the exam early to assess her academic ability and measure how prepared she was.
According to Succy, the student simply wanted to test herself and see what she could achieve.
The WAEC verification screenshot showed that the student, who attends College of Commerce II, Warri, sat for the 2026 WASSCE for School Candidates and earned the following grades:
- Civic Education – A1
- Agricultural Science – A1
- Economics – B2
- Mathematics – B2
- Chemistry – B2
- English Language – B3
- Biology – B3
- Physics – B3
- Computer Studies – B3
She recorded distinctions in two subjects and credits in the remaining seven, with no grade lower than B3. Her performance drew widespread attention, particularly because she has not yet reached her final year of secondary school.

The result sparked mixed reactions on social media. While many praised the student’s determination and academic performance, others questioned the circumstances surrounding the examination, and some used the opportunity to ask about admissions and examination-related issues.
One commenter, Arinmo Olaoluwa, asked, “Is it the work of her hand?” Another, Suky C. Okafor, wrote, “When is admission closing for those of us waiting for NECO results?” Meanwhile, Vandrous Martins remarked, “Hmmm… after enough expo,”
The viral post has continued to fuel debate online, with many commending the student’s initiative while others remain sceptical about how she achieved such impressive results.
