Important 2025 JAMB UTME Mock Guide

The JAMB Mock UTME is a preparatory examination organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for candidates preparing to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Important 2025 JAMB UTME Mock Guide

Candidates who wished to participate in the 2025 JAMB Mock UTME were required to indicate their interest during the designated period of UTME registration.

When Is the 2025 JAMB Mock UTME?

The 2025 JAMB Mock UTME is scheduled to hold on:

Date: Saturday, 5 April 2025

Candidates who registered for the mock examination should check their examination details once the mock examination slip becomes available.

Is the JAMB Mock Exam Compulsory?

No. The JAMB Mock UTME is not compulsory.

The mock examination is only intended to help candidates prepare for the main UTME. A candidate’s mock examination score:

• Does not count towards the main UTME score.
• Is not added to the candidate’s final UTME result.
• Is not a requirement for participating in the main UTME.

Candidates who do not participate in the mock examination can still sit for the main UTME, provided they meet JAMB’s requirements.

Why Does JAMB Conduct the Mock UTME?

The main purpose of the mock examination is to give candidates an opportunity to assess their level of preparation and become familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.

The mock exam is particularly useful for candidates who have limited experience using computers.

JAMB introduced the mock examination in 2017 to give candidates practical experience with the CBT system before the main UTME.

The exercise also allows JAMB and CBT centres to test their systems and identify possible technical issues ahead of the main examination.
