The management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has announced the commencement of its online Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.

ESUT 2026 Post-UTME/DE: Cut-Off & Registration
The screening is open to candidates who selected ESUT as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME, as well as those who did not initially choose the university but are willing to switch to ESUT. Candidates in the latter category must first process a change of institution through JAMB before applying.
ESUT Cut-off Marks
Candidates must meet the minimum UTME score required for their chosen course as follows:
- Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Law – 240
- Pharmacy, Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Physiotherapy – 220
- Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Computer Science, Intelligence and Security Studies, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence – 200
- Anatomy, Public Health, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Accountancy, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Political Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, International Relations and Diplomacy, Architecture – 180
- Agriculture, Education, Environmental Sciences, and all other courses – 160
Screening Details
The screening will be conducted entirely online. Candidates are not required to appear for any physical screening or aptitude test.
The screening fee is ₦2,000 only.
Successful candidates will be notified of their admission status through both the ESUT portal and JAMB CAPS.
Registration Period
Online registration begins on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, and closes on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
How to Apply
- Visit the ESUT admission portal.
- Click on 2026/2027 Admission Screening Registration under the Regular Students section.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Fill in the required information to generate your payment invoice.
- Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee either at any commercial bank using the generated invoice or online with a debit card.
- Return to the portal and log in again with your JAMB Registration Number.
- Complete the application form carefully.
- Submit your application.
- Print your acknowledgement slip for future reference.
Important Information
- Candidates awaiting the release of their 2026 WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results are eligible to apply.
- O’Level results released after 30 September 2026 will not be accepted.
- Candidates must ensure that the names on their O’Level results, UTME records, and other admission documents are identical. Any discrepancy may lead to disqualification.
- All applicants are required to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal.
- Candidates are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration is accurate, as false information will result in disqualification.
Direct Entry Applicants
Direct Entry candidates who selected ESUT are also required to complete the online screening through the university portal. In addition, they must request their previous institutions to verify and clear their academic records through the JAMB e-Facility platform.
