UMYU Post UTME 2026/2027 Registration Now Open

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) invites suitably qualified candidates who selected the University as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or applied through Direct Entry (DE) to register for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise.

Registration is to be completed online through the University’s Post-UTME portal. For more information and registration, visit the official UMYU website:

Only candidates who meet the required UTME subject combination for their chosen programme will be eligible to register.

Please note: Direct Entry (DE) applicants will not be required to attend the screening physically, as their screening will be conducted online.

Registration Period

Opens: Thursday, 16 July 2026
Closes: Friday, 31 July 2026

The date of the aptitude test for UTME candidates will be stated on the screening registration slip after successful registration.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the UMYU Post-UTME screening, candidates must:

Have selected Umaru Musa Yar’adua University as their first-choice institution.
Meet the minimum UTME cut-off mark for their chosen programme.
Possess at least five (5) relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
Have the correct UTME subject combination for the course applied for.
Direct Entry candidates must also possess the required A’Level qualifications (Diploma, IJMB, NCE or equivalent) for their chosen programme.

Required Documents

Applicants should upload clear copies of the following documents during registration:

2026 JAMB UTME Result Slip (for UTME candidates) or JAMB Registration Slip (for Direct Entry candidates).
O’Level result(s).
Valid means of identification (National Identification Card, Indigene Certificate, International Passport, etc.).
A’Level qualification (for Direct Entry candidates only).

Screening Information

UTME candidates are required to attend the aptitude test with:

Their payment receipt.
Hard copies of all uploaded credentials.

The aptitude test date will appear on the registration slip after successful registration.

Direct Entry candidates should submit hard copies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar after completing their online registration.

Candidates recognised by JAMB as physically challenged are exempt from the aptitude test but must also forward hard copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s Office.

Visit https://www.umyu.edu.ng.
Access the Post-UTME portal.
Click “Register a New Account” and complete the registration form.
If you have already registered, simply log in to continue your application.
Pay the prescribed application fee.
Complete your profile and upload a recent passport photograph and all required documents.
Print your screening acknowledgement slip and payment receipt.
Regularly check the portal for updates on your screening and admission status.

Application Fee

The official Post-UTME application fee is ₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira only).

Registration should be completed once only.
Applicants who have already created an account should simply log in to continue their application.

Closing Date

The online registration closes on Friday, 31 July 2026. Candidates are encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
