Gboko Polytechnic, Benue State, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Full-Time and Part-Time National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The institution, which is fully approved and licensed by the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), assures prospective students of prompt mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) upon successful completion of their studies.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

A minimum of five relevant O’ Level credit passes, obtained in not more than two sittings in SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics (except where otherwise stated).
Applicants for HND programmes must possess a National Diploma (ND) from a recognised institution in addition to the O’ Level requirements.
Any deficiency in entry qualifications may be remedied while studying at the institution.
Candidates must have a minimum UTME score of 100. Those who scored 100 or above but did not initially choose Gboko Polytechnic are advised to visit any accredited JAMB CBT centre to change their first-choice institution to Gboko Polytechnic or visit the campus for further guidance.

Application Procedure

Online Application

Visit the application portal: https://portal.gbokopoly.edu.ng/start-application.php
Complete the pre-application form by providing your surname, other names, telephone number, programme of choice and a secure password.
Generate an invoice and pay the application fee online using a debit or credit card, or present the invoice at a designated bank.
After payment has been confirmed, log in to the portal, complete the full application form, upload the required credentials and submit your application.
Print the completed application form and payment receipt for presentation during the physical screening.

UTME Requirements

Candidates must have obtained a minimum UTME score of 100.
Those who did not initially select Gboko Polytechnic as their first-choice institution should complete a Change of Institution at any accredited JAMB CBT centre.

Physical Screening and In-Person Application

Candidates may also apply or complete their physical screening directly at the Polytechnic.
