PAAU Withdraws 27 Students Over Poor Academic Performance
The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has approved the withdrawal of twenty-seven (27) students from the University for poor academic performance and failure to register for two (2) consecutive semesters, in accordance with the University’s Academic Regulations.

The decision was reached at the 166th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, following consideration of the report of the Results Verification Committee, which reviewed the academic standing of students across various faculties and departments.
The affected students, drawn from the Faculties of Arts and Humanities, Education, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, and Medicine and Surgery, were withdrawn after failing to meet the minimum academic requirements or failing to register for two (2) consecutive semesters, thereby forfeiting their studentship in line with the University’s regulations.

The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, commended members of the Results Verification Committee for their diligence, objectivity and commitment to upholding the University’s academic standards.
He reiterated the resolve of the Senate and the University Management to sustain academic excellence, discipline and quality assurance, stressing that while the University would continue to provide a conducive learning environment, students must also demonstrate commitment to their studies and comply with the extant academic regulations.
The Vice-Chancellor urged all continuing students to remain focused, make full use of the enabling academic environment and strive for excellence in both character and learning.
Meanwhile, the affected students have been directed to return all University property in their possession, including their identity cards and any other official items, to the Security Unit before leaving the University.
