2026 WAEC: Public School Student Makes Waves With 9 A1s
A Nigerian student has attracted widespread attention after recording an outstanding performance in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), obtaining A1 grades in all nine subjects he took.
The student, identified as UduakAbasi Victor San, reportedly attended Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Towns, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
His remarkable result was shared online, with many people praising him for achieving the feat while attending a community secondary school.
According to the result circulating online, UduakAbasi obtained A1 grades in Civic Education, English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Livestock Farming, and Agriculture.
His performance represents the highest possible grade in all nine subjects. His results in key subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, were particularly notable.
The individual who shared the result online highlighted that the student did not attend an expensive private school or a special examination centre, but rather a community secondary school in Akwa Ibom State.
The post celebrating his achievement emphasised that academic excellence is not necessarily determined by the type of school a student attends, noting that exceptional talent can be found anywhere.
The message concluded with the statement, “If you are a genius, you are a genius,” in celebration of the student’s remarkable academic performance.
