BSU Announces 2026/2027 Postgraduate Admissions

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into postgraduate programs leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s Degrees, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degrees at Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The application portal opened at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, and will close at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2026.
Admission Requirements
- Applicants must meet the relevant O’Level requirements for admission into a first-degree program at Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, including a credit pass in English and Mathematics for programs in the Faculties of Sciences, Management Sciences, and Environmental Sciences.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Applicants must possess an HND or a first degree with at least a Third-Class Division from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any university recognized by the University Senate.
- Master’s Degree: Applicants must possess a relevant first degree with at least a Second-Class Lower Division (minimum CGPA of 2.50) from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any university recognized by the University Senate.
- PhD: Applicants must possess a good Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any university recognized by the University Senate.
Program Duration
- Postgraduate Diploma: Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 2 years.
- Master’s Degree: Minimum of 2 academic years and maximum of 3 years for full-time students.
- PhD: Minimum of 3 academic years and maximum of 6 years for full-time students.
All programs begin with coursework and conclude with a project for PGD students, and a dissertation or thesis for Master’s and PhD students, respectively.
Method of Application
Applications are strictly online. Applicants should:
- Visit the BSU application portal.
- Click on the Application link.
- Under Postgraduate School, click Start Application, enter your name, select your preferred program, and submit.
- An e-payment form containing a payment reference number and application number will be generated.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦20,000 either online or at any designated Fidelity Bank branch using the printed e-payment form.
- After payment, return to the BSU portal, select Application → Postgraduate, and complete the application form.
- Upload all required academic credentials and other relevant documents, then submit the form online.
- Print a copy of the completed application form for reference.
- Ensure that the three referees complete the online reference forms.
- Applicants must request their previous institutions to forward their official academic transcripts to:

Applications without the required uploaded documents or official academic transcripts will not be processed.
Important Guidelines
Applicants must provide accurate and complete information. Incomplete applications will be considered void. The proposed course of study and area of specialization, where applicable, must be clearly stated.
Applicants may apply for only one Degree or Diploma program at a time.
