AKSU 2026/2027 Admission Screening: Requirements, Cut-Off Score & Application Guide
Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The screening is open to eligible 2026 UTME and Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into undergraduate programmes at the university.
For UTME candidates, applicants must have selected AKSU as their first-choice institution and scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME.
Registration Period
According to the university’s announcement, online registration will begin on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, and end on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline, as those who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be considered for admission.
Registration Fee
The screening registration fee is ₦2,000, excluding applicable bank charges. Payment can be made using a debit card or bank transfer.
Candidates are expected to upload relevant documents, including their 2026 UTME result slip, birth certificate, certificate of origin and AKSU Post-UTME/DE registration confirmation slip. Direct Entry candidates must also provide their DE registration slip and relevant HND, ND, NCE or A-Level certificates.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should visit the AKSU application portal: https://aksu.edu.ng/app/?, click “START NOW”, select “Enrol”, choose “PUTME”, enter their JAMB registration number and continue with payment and document upload.
Candidates awaiting O’level results may apply, but must ensure their WAEC/NECO results are correctly uploaded to the JAMB portal (CAPS).
The university has also cautioned candidates against dealing with individuals or agents claiming to sell admission slots, stressing that it does not have individual or sales agents for admission.
