The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session is now out. Prospective students can check their admission status and confirm their names on the UNICROSS admission checker portal.

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially released the admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session, featuring successful UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

UNICROSS has commenced the uploading of names of qualified candidates to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing SystemJAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

The UNICROSS admission list is being uploaded in batches. So far, candidates admitted into Law, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, and Accounting have reportedly been uploaded, while the process is still ongoing.

JAMB will only officially offer you admission after UNICROSS has recommended your name on the JAMB CAPS portal.

Candidates are advised to accept their admission only through the official JAMB CAPS portal, as accepting admission outside the JAMB CAPS platform is not recognized as an official admission process.

1. UNICROSS First Batch Admission List

The UNICROSS first batch admission list, also known as the merit admission list, contains the names of candidates who achieved the highest JAMB and Post-UTME aggregate scores.

2. UNICROSS Second, Third & Fourth Batch Admission Lists

The second, third, and fourth batch or supplementary admission lists may contain candidates who:

• Did not upload their O’Level results early.
• Did not meet the UNICROSS merit cut-off mark.
• Were narrowly omitted during the uploading of the first batch admission list.
• Were offered admission through the VC admission list.

3. UNICROSS VC Admission List

During the 2026 JAMB Policy Meeting, JAMB stated that the VC admission list is illegal, although the practice remains operational in Nigeria.

However, before a university can use the 10% exemption mode, it must first admit 90% of its students through the standard admission process.

This means the UNICROSS VC admission list is usually among the last admission lists to be released. However, in some cases, it may be released earlier.

How to Check the UNICROSS Admission List

1. Visit the UNICROSS admission checker portal at www.portal.jamb.gov.ng or portal.unicross.edu.ng.
2. Enter your 2026 JAMB Registration Number and Password/PIN.
3. Click the “LOGIN” button to access your 2026 admission status.
4. Select “Check Admission Status” to confirm whether your name is on the UNICROSS 2026 admission list.

What to Do After Accepting UNICROSS Admission

After accepting your admission on the JAMB CAPS portal and confirming your name on the UNICROSS admission portal, follow these steps:

1. Check the JAMB Matriculation List: Confirm that your name appears on the JAMB Matriculation List.
2. Pay the Acceptance Fee: If your name is on the matriculation list, proceed to pay the UNICROSS acceptance fee online or at any designated bank.
3. Secure Accommodation: Apply for accommodation in the school hostel or arrange suitable off-campus accommodation.
4. Pay School Fees: Pay your prescribed UNICROSS school fees within the stipulated period.
5. Check the Resumption Date: Wait for UNICROSS to announce the official resumption date for newly admitted students.
6. Complete Online Screening and Course Registration: Complete your online screening and register for your courses once the registration portal opens for new students.
7. Prepare for Physical Screening: Ensure you have the required documents for the UNICROSS physical screening, including:
   • Original JAMB Result Slip
   • Post-UTME Registration Slip
   • Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
   • Certificate of Origin
   • Attestation Letters
   • JAMB Admission Letter
   • UNICROSS Notification Slip
