FUNAAB Schedules Orientation CT Training for New Students for 2026/2027 Session
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has scheduled 14–18 September 2026 for the Orientation Programme and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Training for students admitted for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

According to a press statement issued by the Acting Head of the Directorate of Public Relations, Mr Olasunkanmi Olajide, the five-day programme is designed to provide newly admitted students with essential information to facilitate a smooth transition into university life.
The programme will also acquaint students with the University’s academic and administrative structures, rules and regulations, facilities, as well as available support services.
Orientation Programme
The Orientation Programme will commence on Monday, 14 September, and Tuesday, 15 September 2026, bringing together newly admitted students from all Colleges at the Prof Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.
The programme will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.
The Colleges participating include the College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD), College of Biosciences (COLBIOS), College of Computing Sciences (COLCOMPS), College of Entrepreneurial and Development Studies (COLENDS), College of Engineering (COLENG), College of Food Science and Human Ecology (COLFHEC), College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS), College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM), College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), and College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET).
The Orientation Programme will continue on Wednesday, 16 September, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for students from COLAMRUD, COLENDS, COLENG and COLPHYS at the Prof Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.
Students from COLANIM, COLBIOS, COLFHEC and COLVET will participate in the programme on Thursday, 17 September, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the same venue.
The programme will conclude on Friday, 18 September, with students from COLCOMPS, COLERM and COLPLANT participating from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Prof Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.
ICT Training
The ICT component of the programme is aimed at equipping newly admitted students with essential digital skills and tools needed for effective participation in academic activities and other University processes.
Students from COLCOMPS, COLERM and COLPLANT are scheduled to participate in the ICT Training on Wednesday, 16 September, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Prof Olusola Oyewole Lecture Theatre.
On Thursday, 17 September, students from COLAMRUD, COLENDS, COLENG and COLPHYS will undergo the training at the same venue and within the same time frame.
The ICT Training will conclude on Friday, 18 September, with students from COLANIM, COLBIOS, COLFHEC and COLVET participating from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Prof Olusola Oyewole Lecture Theatre.
Mr Olajide urged all newly admitted students to take note of their respective schedules and participate fully in the programme.
He stressed that the Orientation Programme and ICT Training would equip the new students with the foundational knowledge, institutional awareness and digital competencies required for a successful academic experience at FUNAAB.
