FUGUS releases 2026/2027 admission list

The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has announced the release of its First Batch Admission List for candidates who applied for admission for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

Candidates are advised to check the list to confirm whether they have been offered provisional admission.

Candidates whose names appear on the list have been offered provisional admission into the programmes indicated against their names.

Registration for newly admitted students commenced on Monday, 14 September 2026.

Admission and registration process

Admitted candidates are expected to complete the following stages:

1. Check admission status and obtain the necessary files.
2. Present the Remita receipt for the acceptance fee to the Bursary for verification.
3. Undergo verification of academic credentials.
4. Complete candidate confirmation.
5. Print the admission letter.
6. Obtain the Academic Secretary’s signature on the admission letter.

Documents required for fresh students

All newly admitted students are expected to present the following documents during registration:

1. JAMB Admission Letter (Institution Copy).
2. JAMB Result Slip.
3. Evidence of payment of the acceptance fee (Remita receipt).
4. Original and photocopies of relevant SSCE certificates/results, including WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS.
5. SSCE Testimonial.
6. Primary School Certificate and Testimonial.
7. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
8. Certificate of Indigene.
9. Four passport-sized photographs.
10. Letter of Undertaking.

Important information for candidates

The Registration Committee has been directed to ensure that the following details are properly harmonised and verified:

• The candidate’s name must correspond across all credentials.
• The candidate’s date of birth must be consistent across the relevant documents.
• Candidates are expected to comply with the University’s standards regarding character and dress code.

Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that all required documents are available and properly arranged before proceeding with the registration process.
