JAMB cut-off marks for 2026/2027 admissions
The JAMB cut-off marks for Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Colleges of Nusing, as the minimum marks to be obtained for admissions in the 2026/2027 academic session, have been announced. This was announced during the JAMB policy meeting held, 11th May, which had in attendance the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa (CON), vice-chancellors, rectors and registrars of higher institutions and other stakeholders.
Candidates are to note that the cut-off marks listed below are the JAMB minimum cut-off marks. This simply means that institutions are free to set their cut-off marks above the minimum cut-off marks stipulated by JAMB but cannot admit any candidate below the Mimimum Admissible Scores below.

- For Universities, the minimum cut-off mark is: 150
- For Colleges of Nursing, the minimum cut-off mark is: 150
- For Polytechnics, the minimum cut-off mark is: 100
- For Colleges of Education/Agriculture, the minimum cut-off mark is: No UTME Score Required
This means that candidates seeking admissions into Education Programs (NCE) and Agriculture (non-Engineering Courses) are now exempted from UTME.
With the announcement of the cut-off marks, Public tertiary institutions will begin announcing their Post-UTME sales forms and screening dates. Candidates are to be on the look out for such announcements. We equally advise candidates to start preparing for the Post-UTME screening exercise of their schools of choice by getting to Post-UTME Past Questions and Answers. This will enable them prepare adequately for the screening.
