The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has issued a reminder to school principals in Kwara State regarding the fast-approaching deadline for the registration of candidates for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates.

In a circular dated January 6, 2026, signed by the Branch Controller, M. A. Akhanemeh, the Council noted that the online registration portal, which opened on Monday, September 22, 2025, will close on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

The Council has urged all principals to ensure that the registration of their candidates is completed and submitted within the stipulated period. No extensions are anticipated beyond the January 17 deadline.
