PLASU SUG Alerts Students on Payments for the New Academic Session

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Plateau State University, Bokkos (PLASU), has issued a notice directing all students of the institution to temporarily suspend payments relating to the new academic session.

The notice followed a meeting of the Students’ Union bodies held on 20 September 2026 and applies to both new and returning students of the university.

According to the SUG, the Union has received information concerning various payment requests and financial obligations currently being communicated to students in connection with the new academic session.

Following these developments, the Union has advised all PLASU students to put all payments on hold until further notice.

Students have also been urged to remain patient and avoid making any payments until they receive further guidance or official communication from the Students’ Union leadership.

The Union emphasised that the welfare, interests and financial protection of PLASU students remain a priority. Students were therefore encouraged to remain calm and pay close attention to official updates from the Union.

In its concluding message, the SUG stated:

“Please do not make any payment until further notice and further communication from the Union leaders.”

The notice was signed by the SUG President, Iyali Isaac Tok’an, and the SUG Secretary General, Elisha Ayiku.

Copies of the notice were also sent to the NAPSS Association, all faculty associations, all departmental associations and all tribal associations
