ATAPOLY Schedules Students’ Social Cultural Week
The management of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY), Bauchi, has designated a one-week period for students’ unions, departmental associations, and social and cultural groups to hold their ceremonies and extracurricular activities.

According to a notice issued by the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs and dated July 27, 2026, the approved period will run from Monday, August 3, to Saturday, August 8, 2026. The initiative is intended to ensure that social events are properly coordinated without disrupting academic activities.
The management directed all unions planning to organize events during the approved week to submit applications for approval to the Rector through the Dean of Students’ Affairs. Departmental and school unions are required to channel their applications through their respective Deans, while social and cultural associations should submit theirs through their patrons.
The notice further stated that all applications must include details of the proposed activities and the names of invited guests, particularly where visitors from outside the Polytechnic are expected to attend. Applications must be submitted to the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs between Monday, July 27, and Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Students have been urged to cooperate with the arrangement, which is aimed at harmonizing academic and extracurricular activities across the institution. The management emphasized that academic programs must not be disrupted by social events and called on all students’ associations to comply fully with the directive.
