SLU Post-UTME 2026: Cut-Off & Registration

This is to invite all First Choice UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking admission into Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin Hausa, for the 2026/2027 Academic Session to register for the 2026/2027 Online Admission Screening Exercise as detailed below.

Eligibility for the Screening

UTME Candidates

UTME candidates must have obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Direct Entry candidates must possess any of the following:

  • A minimum of Lower Credit in the National Diploma (ND);
  • A minimum of Merit in the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE); or
  • A minimum of 7 points in the IJMBE Advanced Level.

Candidates who did not initially choose Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, as their first-choice institution but wish to study at the University and scored 150 or above in the 2026 UTME should change their institution to SLU through the JAMB portal and then apply for any of the programmes listed below.

Note: The Direct Entry cut-off point for all programmes is 7 points.

Registration Procedure

Online registration for both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates will commence on Monday, 27 July 2026, and close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, 30 August 2026.

To register, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the Sule Lamido University website at www.slu.edu.ng and navigate to Admissions > Online Application, or visit admissions.slu.edu.ng and select UTME or Direct Entry (DE).
  2. Log in using:
    • Your UTME registration number and UTME score (UTME applicants); or
    • Your DE registration number, state of origin, and gender (DE applicants).

    Upload a recent passport-sized photograph.

  3. Complete your profile by providing accurate information.
  4. Enter your O’Level examination details (maximum of two sittings). Save the information and upload a clear scanned copy of your SSCE result(s).
  5. Direct Entry candidates should also upload their SSCE and A’Level results.
  6. Click “POST-UTME Payment”, then select “Pay Now” to pay online using your debit card, or click “Download Payment Schedule” to generate and print a payment schedule for payment through the available channels.
  7. All candidates are required to pay ₦2,000.00 only (excluding Remita charges) as the Online Post-UTME/DE Screening Fee via any commercial bank, debit card, or the Remita website.
  8. After successful payment, generate, download and print your Acknowledgement Slip to complete your registration.

Documents Required for Registration

Candidates offered admission must present the original copies and photocopies of the following documents during registration:

  • Acknowledgement Slip
  • Evidence of Payment
  • UTME Result or DE Registration Slip
  • SSCE Statement(s) of Result
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background
  • Certificate of Indigeneship
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • A’Level Statement of Result (for Direct Entry candidates only)

Important Information

  • Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme through JAMB should do so within the registration period, using their JAMB Green Card.
  • All applicants must upload their credentials to their JAMB profile.
  • Candidates who fail to complete the online screening registration within the stipulated period will not be considered for admission into the University for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
