The general public is hereby informed that the online application forms for Postgraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are now available. Interested candidates can apply from 20 August to 31 October 2026.

Interested applicants should visit the University Application Portal at applicant.safapply.com/kasupg to view the application procedure and available programmes.

Applicants are also required to pay a processing fee of N10,000 for Nigerians or $20 for non-Nigerians.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA

Candidates must possess:

i. Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level in not more than two sittings.

ii. A relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, with a minimum of Third Class; or

iii. A Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) in an unrelated field may be considered; or

iv. A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit in a related field from a Polytechnic or other recognised institution.

v. Candidates with a Pass degree, HND or equivalent qualification will not be considered for admission.

vi. Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.

PROFESSIONAL MASTER’S PROGRAMMES

Candidates must possess:

i. Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level in not more than two sittings.

ii. A First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognised university in the relevant field, with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); or

iii. A candidate with a Third Class degree or HND and a Postgraduate Diploma from Kaduna State University or any recognised institution, with a CGPA of not less than 3.50, may be considered.

iv. Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.

ACADEMIC MASTER’S PROGRAMMES

Candidates must possess:

i. Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level in not more than two sittings.

ii. A First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognised university in the relevant field, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in the College of Science, Computing & Engineering and Second Class (Lower Division) in other Colleges.

iii. Candidates with a CGPA below the requirement in (ii) who possess a Postgraduate Diploma with a CGPA of not less than 3.50 may be considered.

iv. Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.

MPHIL/PHD PROGRAMMES

Candidates must possess:

i. Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level in not more than two sittings.

ii. A First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognised university in the relevant field, with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); and

iii. An Academic Master’s Degree from Kaduna State University or any recognised institution, with a CGPA below the requirement for PhD admission.

iv. Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.

DOCTORATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

Candidates must possess:

i. Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level in not more than two sittings.

ii. A First Degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognised university in the relevant field, with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); and

iii. An Academic Master’s Degree from Kaduna State University or any recognised institution, with a minimum CGPA of 4.00 in the College of Science, Computing & Engineering and 3.50 in other Colleges.

iv. Each applicant must prepare a tentative research proposal of between 1,000 and 1,500 words, which must be uploaded during the application.

v. Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Interested candidates should visit applicant.safapply.com/kasupg, click on the College of Postgraduate Studies button and follow the steps below:

i. Start the application by creating a profile using your e-mail address as the username, then create a preferred password. Applicants can continue the registration process by logging into their profile.

 

ii. Proceed to complete the online application form.

iii. Candidates offered provisional admission into M.Sc./M.A., MPhil/PhD and PhD programmes will be required to present their academic transcripts and original credentials, including their NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate, at the point of registration.
