FUTA Warns the Public Against Admission Scammers

The attention of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has been drawn to the activities of fraudsters and unscrupulous individuals who are attempting to defraud members of the public under the guise of offering admission into FUTA for the 2026/2027 academic session.

For the avoidance of doubt, admission into FUTA, like other similar institutions, is conducted under the auspices of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The admission process is carefully monitored and designed to prevent both internal and external manipulation.

This notice is therefore issued to all prospective candidates, their parents, sponsors, guardians, and members of the general public to beware of scammers and individuals with fraudulent intentions who spread false information about the admission process and offer fake or unauthorized admission to unsuspecting candidates in exchange for money or other financial benefits.

Candidates, parents, guardians, sponsors, and members of the public are strongly advised not to pay money to any individual or group of individuals for the purpose of checking results, uploading results, securing admission, or influencing the admission process in any way whatsoever.

Admission into FUTA is strictly merit-based and cannot be influenced by any individual, group, or financial payment.

Members of the public are urged to exercise caution and rely only on official FUTA and JAMB channels for accurate information regarding the admission process.
