Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, has announced vacancies for suitably qualified candidates to fill various academic and non-academic positions across several faculties, departments and units of the institution.
The university stated that the recruitment exercise is open to both internal and external applicants.

Qualifications and Experience
The university stated that computer literacy is required for all positions.
Senior Lecturer – AHUASS 05
Applicants must:
- Be recognised authorities in their respective fields.
- Possess a PhD from a reputable university.
- Have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local, national and international journals.
- Possess relevant professional memberships where applicable.
- Have at least three years of full-time university teaching, research and administrative experience.
Lecturer I – AHUASS 04
Applicants must:
- Possess a PhD from a reputable university.
- Provide evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Have relevant professional memberships where applicable.
Lecturer II – AHUASS 03
Applicants must possess either:
- A PhD in the relevant field, or
- A Master’s degree with at least four relevant publications.
Assistant Lecturer – AHUASS 02
Applicants must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised university.
Non-Academic Vacancies
The university is also recruiting for the following non-academic positions:
Technologist II – AHUSS 07
Applicants must possess:
- An O’Level certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- A BSc in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy or Physiology.
System Analyst II – AHUSS 07
Applicants must possess:
- An O’Level certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- A BSc in Library and Information Science.
Clinical Instructor – AHUSS 09
Applicants must possess:
- An O’Level certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- A BSc in Nursing Science.
The university further stated that computer competency and an NYSC discharge certificate or certificate of exemption, where applicable, are mandatory.
Conditions of Service
The conditions of service for the successful candidates are stated to be comparable to those obtainable in public universities in Nigeria.
