Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba Announces 24th–26th Convocation
The Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, under the leadership of the Provost, Dr James Azuka Olisa, alongside the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, Congregation and Students, has invited the general public to its upcoming 24th–36th Combined Convocation Ceremony.
As part of the activities, the Convocation Lecture is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 18 November 2026, at 10:00 am at the School of Science Lecture Hall within the college premises.
The ceremony will celebrate graduands from the 2013/2014 to 2025/2026 academic sessions across eligible programmes, including NCE Full-Time, NCE Regular Part-Time, NCE Weekend Part-Time and the Professional Diploma in Education.
Key Events
The combined convocation programme will feature three major activities: a Media Parley, the Commissioning of Projects and the Convocation Lecture.
The keynote lecture, titled “TVET AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT,” will examine the role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in promoting national and socioeconomic development.
The lecture will be delivered by the Guest Speaker, Prof. C.B.N. Ogbogbo (FHSN), Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria, Ibusa.
Dignitaries
The event will be chaired by His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, FNIALS, FICMC, LLD(HC), KSJI, KSG, the Asagba of Asaba.
Other distinguished guests include:
- Mother of the Day: Chief (Prof.) J.E. Anene-Okeakwa, Immediate Past Provost, FCE(T), Asaba.
- Spiritual Father of the Day: Very Rev. Fr. Peter Mobuogwu, Vicar General, Issele-Uku Catholic Diocese.
- Host: Dr James Azuka Olisa, Provost, FCE(T), Asaba.
The combined convocation marks a significant milestone for the institution, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduands while bringing together academics, community leaders, staff and students to reflect on the role of education in national development.
