The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has invited members of the university community and the general public to attend its 47th Inaugural Lecture Series, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, extended the invitation on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, and the entire university community.

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Prof. Sunday Abraham Musa, Professor of Human Anatomy (Neuroanatomy and Comparative Anatomy) in the Department of Human Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, Federal University of Lafia.
The lecture is titled “When Neurons Speak, and Networks Fail: Unravelling the Mysteries of Brain Function and Neurodegeneration.” It is expected to explore scientific advances in understanding the human brain, neurological functions, and the causes of neurodegenerative diseases.
The event will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, while the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, will serve as the Co-Chairman.

According to the university, the lecture will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Mall. Adamu Adamu Twin Hall, Permanent Site Campus, Federal University of Lafia. The programme will also be accessible virtually through Google Meet for participants who are unable to attend in person.
The university encouraged academics, students, researchers, health professionals, and members of the public to participate in the event as part of its commitment to promoting research, innovation, and intellectual discourse.
