FUHSA Transfer Requirements & Fees
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) has announced the requirements, procedures, and applicable fees for students seeking an intra-university change of course or an inter-university transfer.
The announcement was contained in a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar on August 10, 2026, following the approval of the transfer guidelines by the University Senate at its 42nd meeting held the same day.
Interested applicants are required to visit the FUHSA application portal, complete the appropriate form, and submit it along with the required documents. Applicants must have at least five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
Transfers are subject to the availability of vacancies. Applicants must also provide their academic transcripts, obtain the necessary departmental, faculty, and university clearances or release, and secure acceptance from the receiving department and relevant authorities.
Academic Requirements
- MBBS and BDS: Minimum CGPA of 4.01
- Nursing Sciences and other programs: Minimum CGPA of 3.50
Approved Non-Refundable Fees
- Change of course form: ₦50,000
- FUHSA intra-university change of course acceptance fee: ₦250,000
- Transfer from a public university in Nigeria: ₦500,000
- Transfer from a private university in Nigeria: ₦2,500,000
- Transfer from a foreign university: ₦3,000,000
FUHSA noted that applicants may be required to take prerequisite courses from the receiving department where applicable. Candidates must also regularize their transfer with JAMB and complete an indemnity form.
The university further stated that a candidate can only be transferred once.
