FUWUKARI SUG Begins NELFUND Fee Disbursement
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University Wukari (FUWUKARI), Taraba State, has announced the commencement of institutional fee disbursements under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for students whose applications have been successfully approved.
In a notice issued on 30 July 2026, the union advised beneficiaries whose institutional fees have been paid to remain patient while the payments are reflected on the university’s student portal. Students will be able to complete their course registration once the payments have been updated.
The SUG also addressed students who paid their school fees before the NELFUND disbursement. According to the union, the university’s NELFUND Desk Officer is working to ensure a smooth refund process, with further details to be communicated once the necessary arrangements have been finalised.
Students whose application status still reads “Verified by Institution” have also been urged not to worry. The union explained that this status confirms the university has completed the institutional verification process and that the disbursement of their institutional fees will follow in due course.
The Students’ Union Government reaffirmed its commitment to engaging with the relevant stakeholders to ensure all eligible students benefit from the Federal Government’s student loan scheme without unnecessary delays.
Students are encouraged to monitor the official communication channels of both the Students’ Union Government and the university for further updates on NELFUND disbursements and the refund process.
