Important Information for Candidates Not Yet Admitted
Commencement of the 2026/2027 Admission Exercise and Activation of JAMB CAPS
This is to notify candidates seeking admission into Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for the 2026/2027 academic session that the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) has been activated for the admission exercise.
This means that candidates can now monitor their admission status and easily know when they have been offered admission. Candidates are therefore advised to regularly check their admission status on JAMB CAPS and take the necessary action as soon as possible.
1. Verify Your O’Level Upload
a. Log in to your JAMB profile via https://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility_/.
b. Click on âCheck Admission Statusâ.
c. Click on âAccess my CAPSâ.
d. Click on âMy O’level Resultâ to confirm that your O’Level result has been uploaded.
If your result has not been uploaded, visit any nearby accredited JAMB CBT centre or the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education ICT Centre to upload it.
Admission cannot be processed for candidates whose O’Level status on CAPS indicates âAwaiting Resultâ.
2. Know When You Have Been Offered Admission
After following the steps above, click on âAdmission Statusâ to monitor your admission.
This will enable you to know when you have been recommended for admission or when your admission has been approved by JAMB.

If you are recommended for admission and the admission is approved by JAMB, you can accept the offer, print your admission letter and follow the University’s directives for clearance.
Details of the clearance process will be released on the University’s website and other official communication channels.
3. Approval of Transfer of Programme â 2026/2027
In line with the CAPS implementation policy, the University may consider transferring some candidates from their chosen programmes to other programmes based on their UTME and O’Level subject combinations.
Candidates are therefore advised to monitor their admission status further by clicking on the âTransfer Approvalâ link to check whether they have been recommended for transfer to another programme.
You will be required to either accept or reject the transfer consideration.
If you accept the transfer, your first-choice institution will be able to offer you admission into the new programme.
If you reject the transfer, you will remain in your preferred course/programme and the transfer will not be effected.
4. Candidates with Awaiting Results
UTME candidates with O’Level results marked as awaiting should upload their results on the JAMB portal and the University portal respectively.
Direct Entry candidates, including JUPEB students, should also upload their A’Level and O’Level results to avoid disqualification.
This will enable the University’s screening officers to determine candidates’ eligibility for admission.
