OFFICIAL NOTICE TO STUDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC

RE: FALSE INFORMATION ON THE COMPULSORY SIGNING OF MATRICULATION REGISTER

The Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, wishes to draw the attention of all students admitted for the 2025/2026 Academic Session (100 Level and Direct Entry), as well as the general public, to a misleading message currently circulating on social media concerning the alleged “Compulsory Signing of the Matriculation Register.”

For the avoidance of doubt, the University Management wishes to clarify the following:

1. The University is currently on break. Consequently, students are not required to return to campus for the purpose of signing the matriculation register or any other official document, as the exercise has not yet commenced.
2. The commencement date for the exercise has not been announced. The University will officially communicate the date and other relevant details to students upon resumption.
3. The only date currently released by the University in its official circular is the deadline of 30 September 2026. Any other date being circulated, including 23 September 2026, is false and should be disregarded.
4. The viral message did not emanate from the University Management or any authorised University officer and should therefore not be regarded as an official communication.

Students are strongly advised to disregard the circulating message and refrain from acting on unverified information.

When the matriculation register-signing exercise commences after resumption, students will be duly notified through the University’s official communication channels.

All stakeholders are therefore enjoined to rely solely on information communicated through authorised University channels for accurate and up-to-date information.
