The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced the successful candidates from the Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) for the 78 Regular Course (78RC).

The selection exercise was held from July 4 through August 19, 2026. Candidates whose names appear on the released list have been offered admission into the Academy.
Successful candidates are expected to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Anyone who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will lose their place.

Documents Candidates Must Bring
Selected candidates must report with the original copies of all required credentials, including:
- First School Leaving Certificate;
- Primary School Testimonial;
- NECO/WAEC School Certificate Results;
- Senior Secondary School Testimonials;
- Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age;
- Letter of State of Origin; and
- Properly endorsed Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
Photocopies will not be accepted, and candidates who fail to provide the required original documents will not be admitted.
Candidates must also bring the specified clothing, footwear, sports equipment and personal items required by the Academy, including trousers, lounge wear, national attire, belts, shoes, canvas shoes, shorts, pyjamas, football boots, hockey stick, shirts, socks, wristwatch, shaving kit, bed linen, swimming attire and pressing iron.
Only selected candidates should report to the Academy. They will be received at the Drill Shed, NDA Old Site, Ribadu Cantonment. Reserve candidates may be contacted if additional spaces become available through their registered email addresses and phone numbers.
Additional Admission Requirements
The NDA emphasized that cadets are admitted as full-time students and not employees in training. Those dismissed or withdrawn from the Academy before being commissioned as officers cannot claim employment rights or engagement with the institution or the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Selected candidates will not be allowed to receive visitors or leave the Academy during their first three months of training.
Before reporting, all selected candidates must:
- Upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal.
- Change their academic department through the JAMB portal if they were not offered their preferred department.
- Accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The Academy urged successful candidates and their parents or guardians to comply fully with the instructions.
