The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has officially announced the date for its 31st Matriculation Ceremony for the 2026 (2) academic semester.

In an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and signed by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Registry), Petu Bola Keji, on behalf of the Registrar, the university confirmed that the matriculation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.
The ceremony will be held virtually across all study centres nationwide.
According to the official directive addressed to all Study Centre Directors, a dedicated web link, along with the specific schedule for study centres and newly matriculating students to connect to the ceremony, will be communicated in due course.
In addition, Study Centre Directors have been directed to organise an orientation programme for all newly admitted students on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, ahead of the matriculation ceremony.
The university management has urged all Study Centre Directors to take note of the schedule and ensure full compliance.
