The management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has reaffirmed its ban on the unauthorized use of official university vehicle license plates by staff members.
In a statement issued by the University’s Registrar, Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II, the directive was prompted by management’s growing concern over the increasing number of cases involving the unauthorized use of NSUK license plates.
NSUK Warns Staff Against Unauthorised Plate Number Use
The university warned that any staff member found violating the directive will face strict disciplinary action. Staff have therefore been instructed to use only the university license plates officially assigned to them and to refrain from displaying unauthorized plates on their vehicles.
To enforce the directive, the University’s Security Unit has been instructed to impound any vehicle found using an unauthorized university license plate and confiscate the plate.
Management urged all members of the university community to comply with the policy, stating that the measure is intended to promote accountability, maintain order, and protect the integrity of the university’s vehicle identification system.
