The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence five new academic programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
OGITECH Begins Admission Into New Programmes
The approval followed a quality assurance accreditation exercise conducted by the NBTE between July 20 and July 22, 2026. The announcement was made by the Rector of the institution, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, during the Polytechnic’s executive management meeting held on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
The newly approved programmes are:
- ND Mechatronics
- ND Crime Management
- ND Office Technology and Management
- HND Civil Engineering
- HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Power and Machine Option)
The institution stated that admission into the new programmes and other available courses for the 2026/2027 academic session is currently ongoing.
National Diploma applicants must have scored at least 120 in the 2026 UTME and possess a minimum of five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics. HND applicants with National Diploma qualifications from recognised institutions are also eligible to apply.
