Sokoto State University has announced the approval granted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the resource verification of 24 additional academic programmes.

The approved programmes cut across Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Computing, Agriculture, Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, and other disciplines.
The 24 Programmes Are:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- B.NSc. Nursing Science
- B. Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
- Pharm.D. Pharmacy
- B.Sc. Animal Science
- B.Sc. Agribusiness
- B.Sc. Crop Science
- B.Sc. Fisheries and Aquaculture
- B.A. Literature in English
- B.A. Shari’ah Studies
- B.Sc. Cybersecurity
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B.Ed. Entrepreneurship Education
- B.Sc. (Ed.) Special Education
- B.Ed. Adult Education
- B.Eng. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- B.Eng. Chemical Engineering
- B.Sc. Geology
- B.Sc. Material Science
- B.Sc. International Relations
