SSU Promotes 6 Academic Staff to Professors Readers
The Governing Council of Sokoto State University (SSU), at its 33rd Meeting held on 4 August 2026, approved the promotion of the following academic staff to the Professorial Cadre:
Professors
- Dr. Hafsat Olatunji – Professor of Economics
- Dr. Saheed Ahmed Rufa’i – Professor of Curriculum Studies
Readers
- Dr. Faruku Aliyu – Reader in Education Chemistry
- Dr. Murtala Marafa – Reader in History
- Dr. Godwin Onuh Odeh – Reader in Political History
- Dr. Nasir Muhammad Hassan – Reader in Mathematics Education
- Dr. Shamsu Deen A. Ahmad – Reader in Chemistry
- Dr. Bashar Sa’adu Isa – Reader in Educational Management
