UNIZIK Announces Supplementary Admission for 2026/2027 Academic Session
Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has announced the commencement of its supplementary admission exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The exercise is open to prospective UTME candidates who successfully registered for the university’s Post-UTME (PUTME) screening and are willing to accept admission into any of the listed programmes for which they are eligible.
According to the university, the supplementary admission exercise commenced on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, and will close on Sunday, 27 September 2026.

Who Can Apply?
The supplementary admission exercise is strictly for candidates who:
- Successfully registered for the 2026/2027 UNIZIK Post-UTME exercise.
- Have not already been offered admission into any department at the university.
- Are willing to study one of the programmes listed for supplementary admission.
Candidates should note that intra-university transfer will only be possible after two years of study.
Important Information for Candidates
Candidates who have successfully applied for, or “shopped” for, a supplementary programme are advised to:
- Regularly check the Transfer Approval section of JAMB CAPS.
- Accept the transfer to the new programme promptly once it is posted on JAMB CAPS.
- Ensure that their O’level results have been correctly uploaded to JAMB CAPS to facilitate the processing of their admission.
- Complete the application within the stipulated period, as each applicant has a limited time to complete the process.
Candidates who have already been considered for admission into the university cannot participate in the supplementary admission exercise.

How to Apply for UNIZIK Supplementary Admission
Eligible candidates should follow these steps:
- Log in to the UNIZIK applicant portal: UNIZIK Applicant Portal
- If you have already purchased the Post-UTME form, log in to your dashboard and select the “Supplementary Admission” card.
- Candidates who have not purchased the Post-UTME form should first add their O’level results and purchase the form.
- Under Available Programme, browse the programmes for which you are eligible.
- Click Add to select up to three programmes. Only one of the selected programmes may be a professional course.
- Click Continue, review the total and proceed to confirm your reservation.
- After payment, the selected programmes will appear under My Programmes.
- Regularly check the JAMB CAPS Transfer page and accept the transfer offer once it becomes available.
Candidates are advised to complete their applications before the 27 September 2026 deadline and to monitor both the UNIZIK applicant portal and JAMB CAPS for subsequent admission updates.
