The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma Chapter, is pleased to announce the commencement of applications for its 2026 Annual Indigent Scholarship Award.

The scholarship is intended to support undergraduate students of the University who are experiencing genuine financial hardship but have demonstrated good academic performance.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
- Award Value: ₦200,000 per successful beneficiary
- Eligible Applicants: Indigent undergraduate students of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma
- Selection Criteria: Financial need and academic performance
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a bonafide undergraduate student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
- Be able to demonstrate genuine financial need/indigent status.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 and maintain satisfactory academic standing.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Interested and qualified students should submit a handwritten application letter of not more than two pages.
The application should be addressed to:

ASUU Secretariat, Twin Lecture Theatre,
Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
The letter should clearly state the following:
- Full name
- Course of study and current level
- State of origin
- Functional phone number
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
Each application must be accompanied by photocopies/prints of the following:
- Current Student Identity Card
- An official letter from the applicant’s Head of Department (HOD) confirming current student status and CGPA for the preceding academic session
- Evidence of course registration for the 2025/2026 Academic Session
- A printed Kofa Student Account statement showing the applicant’s current CGPA and duly endorsed by the HOD
- Two (2) recent passport photographs
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Completed applications and all required supporting documents must be submitted to the ASUU Secretariat, Twin Lecture Theatre, AAU Ekpoma, on or before:
2:00 PM, Monday, 21 September 2026.
Late submissions may not be considered.
SCREENING AND INTERVIEW
Only applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to participate in a screening and interview session organised by the ASUU AAU Ekpoma Scholarship Committee.
The exercise will help the Committee verify applicants’ academic records, eligibility and financial circumstances before final beneficiaries are selected.
Qualified students who meet the requirements are strongly encouraged to apply early and ensure that all required documents are properly submitted.
