ADUSTECH Postpones NAKSS Leadership Election, Sets New Date

The management of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has announced the postponement of the National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) leadership election, which was originally scheduled to hold on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
The announcement was contained in a circular issued by the Office of the Deputy Dean, Students’ Affairs, dated 6 August 2026.
According to the circular, the election has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 11 August 2026. The University explained that the postponement was necessitated by unavoidable administrative and logistical circumstances beyond its control.
The Students’ Affairs Division stated that the extension would provide sufficient time, in consultation with the Independent Electoral Committee, to ensure that all security arrangements, voting infrastructure and logistical preparations are in place to guarantee a peaceful, transparent, free and fair election.
The University expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to contestants, their campaign teams and the wider student community, urging students to remain patient, maintain peace and continue cooperating with the institution throughout the electoral process.
