The Management of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has alerted the public to the activities of individuals attempting to defraud unsuspecting persons by falsely claiming to offer or facilitate admission into the University.
AKSU Releases Disclaimer on Fake Admission Activities

The University wishes to clarify that it has not appointed any agent, consultant, representative, or intermediary to process or secure admission for prospective students.
Prospective candidates and members of the public are therefore advised to be cautious of individuals, particularly those operating on Facebook and other social media platforms, who claim they can obtain admission into the University in exchange for money or other forms of payment.
AKSU stated that all admission processes are carried out strictly through its officially approved channels and procedures. Candidates are encouraged to rely only on information published through the University’s official communication platforms and should not make payments or provide personal information to unauthorized individuals claiming to represent the University.
The University has warned members of the public against patronizing such fraudsters and urged everyone to exercise extreme caution when dealing with anyone requesting money or personal details in connection with admission.
AKSU will not be held responsible for any financial loss or other consequences resulting from dealings with unauthorized persons.
The general public is encouraged to take this warning seriously and assist in curbing fraudulent admission activities.
