ATBU SUG Issues Update on Electricity Supply
Following a series of meetings and engagements between the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and the Gubi community over the persistent electricity challenges affecting students residing in the area, the SUG is pleased to announce that a positive resolution has finally been reached
Yesterday, a meeting was held at the Department of State Services (DSS) Headquarters in Bauchi, where the matter was further discussed with the relevant stakeholders.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that electricity supply to students’ lodges would be restored.
The reconnection process will commence tomorrow, after which electricity will gradually be restored to all affected students’ residences.
The Students’ Union Government also urges all students to refrain from attempting to reconnect electricity themselves by climbing electric poles, tampering with electrical wires, or making unauthorised connections, as doing so poses serious safety risks.
