The Federal University Dutse (FUDUTSE), through its Bursary Department and NELFUND Unit, has released guidelines for students seeking to update their institution or program details on the NELFUND portal ahead of the 2026/2027 academic session.

In a circular dated September 1, 2026, the university announced that NELFUND applications for the new academic session will soon open.

Students who have previously applied to change their institution or program, or those planning to apply, but whose changes have not yet been reflected on the NELFUND portal, are advised to reapply through the university’s NELFUND Desk.

Requests should be addressed to The Bursar, for the attention of the NELFUND Desk Officer.

Students requesting a change must briefly state the reason for the request and provide the following details:

• Old Matriculation Number
• New Matriculation Number
• Old JAMB Number
• New JAMB Number
• Old Institution
• New Institution
• Old Program
• New Program
• Level in Old Program
• New Level in New Program
• BVN
• NIN
• Application ID (to be completed by NELFUND)
• Phone Number
• Email Address

The university urged affected students to follow the specified format to ensure their institution or program changes are properly updated on the NELFUND portal.
