IfeanHealth is pleased to announce the commencement of applications for the second edition of the IfeanHealth Scholarship & Scholar Program (ISSP 2.0).

Following the success of the inaugural edition, which supported outstanding Prosthetics and Orthotics students across Nigeria and other African countries, ISSP 2.0 reaffirms our commitment to identifying, empowering and developing the next generation of professionals in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
Bridging Academia and Clinical Practice
Africa continues to face a shortage of highly skilled Prosthetics and Orthotics professionals. At IfeanHealth, we believe the future of rehabilitation medicine depends on investing in talented students today.
ISSP 2.0 is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice by equipping participants with the knowledge, skills and professional experience needed to restore mobility, independence and hope to people living with physical disabilities.
Programme Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
Scholarship Support
- A scholarship grant of ₦100,000.
- Eligibility to apply for the IfeanHealth Scholar Program for advanced training opportunities.
Professional Development
- Hands-on clinical experience in healthcare settings.
- Practical industry exposure under professional supervision.
- Mentorship from experienced Prosthetics and Orthotics practitioners.
- Opportunities to participate in clinical and research activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled at an accredited Prosthetics and Orthotics institution in Nigeria or another African country.
- Have completed at least 300 Level (or ND II) with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
- Score at least 75% in the qualifying examination.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential.
- Show a genuine passion for rehabilitation, innovation and patient-centred care.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be willing to participate fully in training, mentorship and evaluation activities.
Candidates living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive special consideration.
Selection Process
Applications will be assessed through the following stages:
- Initial screening of submitted applications.
- Assessment of technical knowledge and aptitude.
- Evaluation of interpersonal skills, leadership potential and professional aspirations.
- Final selection by the ISSP Committee.
Please note: ISSP 2.0 is highly competitive. Only applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic ability, professionalism, innovation, discipline and a strong commitment to the Prosthetics and Orthotics profession will be selected.
