LASU Announces 29th & 30th Convocation Dates

Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced the schedule for its 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremonies, which will be held from Wednesday, August 12, to Sunday, August 23, 2026.

The combined convocation will celebrate graduates from the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions. The ceremonies will feature a series of academic, cultural, sporting, and religious events across the university’s Ojo and Epe campuses.

According to the program released by the university, activities will commence on August 12 with a Convocation Press Conference and a staff sports competition. Other highlights include Staff Celebration Day, Coconut Breaking and Cultural Day, a Jumat Service, the Convocation Lecture, the award of diplomas and degrees, the conferment of doctorate and honorary degrees, and a Thanksgiving Service to conclude the ceremonies on August 23.

Graduating students are expected to comply with all guidelines issued by the university, including the collection and return of academic gowns within the stipulated period to avoid penalties and ensure the timely collection of their certificates.

The announcement marks an important milestone for thousands of graduating students, their families, and members of the university community, who are expected to participate in one of LASU’s largest academic celebrations.
