LASU Launches AI-Powered Support Service for 2026/2027 Admissions Clearance
Lagos State University (LASU) has introduced an AI-powered support service to assist applicants with the Lagos State University Central Admission Clearance Application (LACACA) process for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The new service is designed to make admission clearance more accessible, efficient and responsive by providing applicants with guidance on routine LACACA-related enquiries.

Applicants can access the AI support service via the dedicated number 0707 810 5804. The service is available exclusively through text messages and screenshots and does not support audio calls, voice recordings or video calls.
The AI assistant can provide information and guidance on various aspects of the clearance process, including admission clearance requirements, necessary documentation, payment enquiries, clearance status, matriculation number-related procedures and frequently asked questions.
Applicants can also receive step-by-step guidance on the dos and don’ts of the clearance process, helping them avoid errors, misinformation and unauthorised practices.
LASU explained that the AI service is intended to complement, rather than replace, its existing human support system. Routine enquiries can be handled by the AI assistant, while issues requiring record verification or official decisions will be referred to the appropriate LACACA support personnel.
The university added that the service operates within approved LACACA procedures and guidelines. Where adequate information is unavailable, the AI assistant will not speculate but will direct applicants to the appropriate official support channels.
According to LASU, the initiative forms part of its efforts to embrace responsible artificial intelligence in university administration, improve service delivery and enhance the experience of students and applicants.
Applicants have been advised to use the dedicated number strictly for LACACA-related enquiries and to obtain clearance information only through official LASU and LACACA communication channels.
