MAPOLY Introduces National Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has announced the commencement of admissions into its National Diploma (ND) in Artificial Intelligence (AI) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The new programme is designed to equip students with practical and technical skills in Artificial Intelligence, programming, digital technologies and related fields, reflecting the growing demand for AI professionals.

MAPOLY ND Artificial Intelligence Programme

The programme is being offered following the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) approval of the National Diploma curriculum in Artificial Intelligence for Nigerian polytechnics.

According to the institution, the programme will provide students with practical, hands-on training in several areas of Artificial Intelligence and digital technology.

• Artificial Intelligence laboratories
• Digital systems
• Microcontrollers
• Artificial Intelligence projects

MAPOLY AI Admission Requirements 2026/2027

Candidates interested in applying for the ND Artificial Intelligence programme at MAPOLY must meet the institution’s stated admission requirements.

Eligible candidates must:

• Score 100 or above in the 2026 UTME.
• Have selected Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
• Upload their O’Level results to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
• Meet the other admission requirements specified by the Polytechnic.

Candidates Who Did Not Choose MAPOLY as First Choice

Candidates who did not select MAPOLY as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME but wish to study Artificial Intelligence at the Polytechnic can still apply.

Such candidates are required to process a Change of Institution and Change of Course through the JAMB portal.

They must change their:

First-choice institution: Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta
Course: Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Candidates should complete the change before proceeding to obtain and submit the MAPOLY application form.

Management emphasized that MAPOLY does not engage third-party agents in its admission process.

Applicants are therefore advised to rely only on official Polytechnic communication and approved admission channels when seeking information or processing their applications.

MAPOLY Admission to Be Based on Merit

According to the Polytechnic, all eligible applicants will be considered for provisional admission based on merit, subject to the presentation of the required credentials and compliance with the institution’s admission guidelines.
