Northwest University Kano 2026 Post-UTME/DE Details

Northwest University, Kano has announced the commencement of online registration for its 2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.
The screening is open to candidates who selected the University as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) admissions exercise.
Online registration will run from Monday, 10 August 2026 to Sunday, 23 August 2026 through the University’s admission portal.

Eligibility
UTME Candidates
Applicants must:
- Have selected Northwest University, Kano as their first-choice institution.
- Possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Meet the minimum UTME cut-off mark for their chosen programme.
Direct Entry Candidates
Applicants must:
- Possess the 2026 Direct Entry registration slip.
- Hold a National Diploma (ND), IJMB or NCE qualification.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for science-based programmes or 3.5 for arts-based programmes.
- Obtain at least 9 points in NCE.
- Obtain a minimum of 7 points in science-based IJMB programmes or 8 points in arts and social science-based IJMB programmes.
Registration Procedure
Applicants should:
- Visit the University’s website and access the 2026 Admission Portal.
- Generate a NABROLL payment invoice and pay the ₦2,000 screening fee online or at any bank nationwide.
- Return to the portal to complete the registration and print the acknowledgement slip, which must be presented along with other required credentials during the screening exercise.
Important Information
- Candidates wishing to change their institution or course through JAMB must do so on or before 9 August 2026.
- All applicants must upload their credentials to the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be considered for admission into the 2026/2027 academic session.
- Applicants are advised to ensure that the grades entered during registration match their SSCE results, as any discrepancy may result in the cancellation of their admission during the screening process.
