PAAU announces 27th Inaugural Lecture
The Management of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has announced the institution’s 27th Inaugural Lecture, which will be the ninth (9th) inaugural lecture to be delivered under the administration of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, since he assumed office on 11 February 2026.
The lecture is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m. prompt, at the University Auditorium.
The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Professor Oja Paul Egwemi, Professor of Dramatic Literature and Film Studies, on the topic:
“THE GOWNS WE WEAR, THE TOWNS WE GO: RETHINKING PERFORMANCE CURRICULA FOR DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA AMID A POLYCRISIS.”
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, cordially invites members of the University community and the general public to attend this important academic event, which promises to enrich intellectual discourse and stimulate critical reflection on the role of performance curricula in national development amid the multifaceted challenges confronting Nigeria.
