SA’ZU Announces Work-Free Day for Local Government Elections
This is to inform the University Community that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator (Dr) Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), has declared Monday, 17 August 2026, a work-free day across the state to enable workers to fully participate in the forthcoming Local Government Council Elections.
In line with this directive, I am directed to inform you that the University Management has also declared Monday, 17 August 2026, a work-free day for the University.
Accordingly, normal activities will resume on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, while all essential services will continue to operate during the period.
