SSU Post-UTME/DE Screening for 2026/2027 Admission

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into Sokoto State University (SSU), Sokoto through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE), selected the University as their first-choice institution, and scored a minimum of 150 in the UTME, that the online screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session will commence on Tuesday, 11 August 2026.

Direct Entry (DE) candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their relevant A’Level qualifications (Diploma, NCE, IJMB, etc.) on the University’s application portal.

In addition, both UTME and DE candidates must upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS at https://jamb.caps.gov.ng. Applicants must possess at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Screening Procedure

1. Visit the SSU application portal: https://applicant.safapply.com/ssu.
2. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to confirm your eligibility and view your proposed course.
3. Click More Information beside the course to view the admission requirements, application fee, programme duration, application deadline and session details.
4. Click Apply Now.
5. Existing users should sign in using Google or their registered login details. New applicants may register with Google or create an account manually using a valid email address and phone number. A verification code will be sent to your email address to complete your registration.
6. After signing in, click Proceed to Application Form. Pay the ₦2,000 application fee (excluding transaction charges) by following the payment instructions. Once payment is successful, you can complete the application form. Payment status can be checked under the Transaction History section of the portal.
7. Complete the application form and click Preview & Submit.
8. If you need to make any changes, click Update Form before submitting.
9. Once satisfied, click Submit Form to complete your application.

Important Notice

• The screening exercise is strictly online.
• There will be no Post-UTME examination.
• Only candidates who successfully complete the online screening process will be considered for admission.
