UNIABUJA Opens 2026/2027 Part-Time Degree Admission (Stream Two)

The Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL&CE) at the University of Abuja (now Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja) has officially opened applications for its Part-Time Degree Programmes (Stream Two) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Admission Requirements

O’Level Requirement

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings from recognised examination bodies, including SSCE/WASC, GCE O’ Level, NECO, NABTEB or TC II.

Direct Entry Requirement

Applicants must have at least four (4) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics in SSCE/NECO, obtained at not more than two sittings, together with at least two passes in A’Level GCE, a Diploma (Upper Credit), NCE with a minimum of 10 points, or relevant professional qualifications.

Application Details and Deadline

• Application Fee: N15,000 (non-refundable), payable via the REMITA platform. Remita processing charges may apply.
• Application Deadline: Friday, 30 October 2026.
• Important Notice: All applicants must have a functional email address and telephone number for communication.

How to Apply

1. Visit the portal at portal.uniabuja.edu.ng
2. Click on ‘Click here to Apply’
3. Select AVAILABLE PORTAL under the APPLY NOW menu.
4. Click on ‘Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education’
5. Complete the required biodata.
6. Follow the instructions to make payment and generate an Application Number.
7. Log in again using your Application Number and surname in lowercase.
8. Click APPLICATION FORM to complete and submit your application.

Programme Highlights and Lecture Schedule

The part-time programme provides flexible learning options, affordable fees and an opportunity for students to balance work, family and study. Classes are held in the evenings and at weekends, with a fully recognised degree awarded upon successful completion.

Lectures take place Fridays and Saturdays only, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
