The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has released the proposed academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session for undergraduate students.

According to the academic calendar published in the University of Ilorin Bulletin dated Monday, 21 September 2026, the 2026/2027 academic session will officially commence on Monday, 5 October 2026 for both new and returning students.

Registration for new and returning students is scheduled to take place from Monday, 5 October to Friday, 16 October 2026, while late registration will run from Monday, 19 October to Friday, 23 October 2026.

Lectures for the Harmattan Semester are expected to commence on Monday, 19 October 2026 and end on Friday, 22 January 2027. This will be followed by a lecture-free week from Monday, 25 January to Friday, 29 January 2027.

The Harmattan Semester examinations are scheduled to commence on Monday, 1 February 2027 and end on Friday, 26 February 2027.

For the Rain Semester, lectures are expected to commence on Monday, 15 March 2027. The lecture-free week and uploading of continuous assessment results are scheduled to take place from Monday, 21 June to Friday, 25 June 2027.

The Rain Semester examinations are scheduled to begin on Monday, 28 June 2027 and end on Friday, 23 July 2027.

The academic calendar also includes dates for registration, matriculation, examinations, consideration of final-year results and the end of session break.

The University also noted that Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. are lecture-free to allow for sporting activities.
